In the case of CKD, in end-stage renal disease, the only possibility of extending a patient's life is the renal replacement therapy. Įvery disease, as well as the therapy applied in it, affects the daily functioning of a patient. Meanwhile, the annual incidence of CKD worldwide amounts to approximately 150/million. According to approximate data, kidney damage in various stages may be present in up to 4-5 million people in Poland.
